When the printer starts up, it performs a series of self-diagnostics. This process involves sending signals to the printhead, warming up some components, and testing the resistance to estimate the temperature. The error codes you encounter indicate specific issues found during this diagnostic.
Error 031002
Meaning: X-Hot Detection Error (After Flushing)
Description:
Printhead Failure
Main Board Failure
Error 031004
Meaning: Head Temperature Error
Description:
Printhead Failure
Main Board Failure
Both errors indicate a short circuit in your printer. The problem could be inside the printhead, on the flat flexible cable (FFC), or on the motherboard, especially if the previous printhead caused damage. Your second printhead essentially passed the initial test, but the short circuit persists elsewhere in the printer.
