A practical tool designed to help save operational costs.
Usage:
-
Remove the waste ink unit from the printer.
-
Place the resetter on the chip in the correct position – 4/3 pins.
-
The resetter will take about 3 seconds to reset; the LED will change from red/blinking to green – indicating a successful reset.
-
Reinsert the unit into the printer; the printer will now display the waste pad at full capacity.
Important Notes:
-
This procedure involves white plastisol ink, so the internal absorbent material must be cleaned and replaced.
-
Incorrect use may clog the waste tube or the carriage parking suction mechanism – this must be avoided.
-
Each waste ink pad unit allows approximately 2 resets. After that, ink may start to overflow through the upper grid into the printer. In such cases, clean the unit carefully (without wetting the chip), and it will continue functioning properly.
-
Many users periodically remove the soaked paper towels inside the unit and replace them with new ones. Standard paper towels or napkins can be used, making this an easy and inexpensive maintenance process.
